Administrative Dashboard
A powerful administration dashboard is included in the PackFlash Video system to help you manage the various types of content on the site. You can use this module to drive as much or little of the decisions of the video system. It is meant to allow as much global control as possible and then allow the administrator to over-ride some of the default decisions at the module level so the behavior can be different than other places on the site if you choose to do so. |

|
Adding and Editing Videos
Adding videos can be as simple as adding a title, uploading the video, and deciding when to have it published. After uploading a video, you can grab a screen shot from the video or upload your own image as the image to display within the video lists. You can also choose when you would like the video to expire. |
Add and Edit Creators for Videos
Multiple creators can be associated with a video. They can be added "on-the-fly" while working within an article. It's also easy to create custom bylines. |
|
|
Categorization and Association of Videos
Multiple categories can be associated with an video. These categories can be created on the fly and be nested in a tree structure with parent categories. |
Related Videos
Videos that are tagged as related have the ability to show up within a video list when the option "related videos" is chosen. Any video can be related to each other. 3 different types of relationships of videos are possible: one-way relationship (when a video is related to another, the relationship is one exists with that video), two-way relationships (a relationship is created between each of the videos), and ad-hoc groups (each of the videos included in the group all are related to each other just by adding them to the group). |
|
|
Upload Multiple Formats of Videos to your own hosting, through an embed code, or to Amazon S3.
Flexible uploading allows for you to upload multiple file formats to your own hosting environment, through an embed code (such as from YouTube), or by using an account with Amazon S3. The system allows for you to upload the following formats: .wmv, .mov, .flv, .m4v, .mp4. Videos encoded with H.264 High Definition standard are supported with the .m4v and .mp4 file extension formats. Within Amazon, you are able to choose an existing bucket to upload to or create a new one as well as choose existing videos already in a specific bucket. |
Video Sharing, Image Resizing Defaults, and Amazon S3
Global settings allow the administrator to manage account information for Video Sharing through "ShareThis", Amazon S3 storage, image resizing for video lists, and permissions. |
|
|
Search Engine Optimization
By default, PackFlash Video will make your video title, description, and keywords the Search Engine meta tags for title, description, and keywords respectively. The administrator can choose to over-ride this and make the search engine meta tags different from the video title, description, and keywords at their discretion. The system also make sure that the video title is used as an H1 tag for prominence on the video detail page as well. |
Comment Management
PackFlash Comments Module comes as a companion module for free when you purchase the PackFlash Video Module. See PackFlash Comment Module for more details. Comments will be updated via AJAX when linked to the video module and statistics will be tracked in both the Comments and Video modules. |

Hide or Show Any Component of the Video Module
The Video Module allows you to create a video page with a video on the left, tab lists on the right and a category browser on the bottom that is all AJAX-enabled. If you want to simplify this for any particular page, you can hide any component of the module by just showing the video itself, for instance, or just showing a tab-list and when a user clicks a video in the list they are taken to the video player or you can just show the category browser and send them to a video player when clicking on a video in the list as well. Any combination is possible. In addition, there are multiple controls for individual components of the video itself to show/hide as well, such as the email function, sharing function, title, description, and embed feature. |
Create Your Own AJAX Tab List on the Fly
PackFlash Video Module comes with the ability to create an AJAX tab list of videos. You can specify up to 4 tabs to be created that can be any of the following: A specific list of videos that you choose, Related Videos that were specified in the dashboard for that video, Most Watched Videos, Most Commented Videos, Most Emailed Videos, or apply a category or creator filter. When choosing to certain options also have the choice of displaying in ascending/descending order of Publish Date, Title, Most Viewed, Most Commented, Most Emailed, and Random. You can also choose to show a link to all the videos in that list on another page, provide rules for resizing of images (or accept the global defaults), and provide an RSS link. |

LOTS of Color Options and Themes. Over 40 Options!
The Video Module comes with over 20 themes of color combinations, each in a straight tab version and a rounded corner version. That's over 40 themes total! This provides extensive ability to integrate into your site design and structure. These now can all be coordinated with the PackFlash Comments Module themes as well. |
